Summer is the best time for your fist leg waxing session. After all, it is the time of the year when the weather is cool enough for wearing pants. Having said that, following are some tips to keep in mind before getting your legs waxed.

Allow it to grow first.
This is why it is best to get your very first leg wax when the cool weather allows you to wear pants: you will need around 1 � weeks� worth of hair growth, depending, of course, on the rate your hair grows. Ideally, you should grow you hair to � of an inch long before getting a wax.
Consider this as the price you need to pay to achieve longer lasting hair removal. The reward is, you can say goodbye to uncomfortable stubble. This is because anything that grows after waxing will fresher and softer hair. So, just let it grow for the meantime.

Exfoliation is the key.
In the days leading to your appointment, prepare your legs through exfoliation. It is best to dry brush before showering. This will help slough off your skin. However, an in-shower scrub will also do just fine.
During the procedure, all the unwanted hair will easily come out if you have properly exfoliated before coming to your waxing session. By not exfoliating properly, your hair will regrow after only two weeks. It is also important to exfoliate after waxing.
When exfoliating post-wax, use a dry brush, as well as an in-shower scrub for a minimum of 10 days after waxing. If intend to use an in-shower loofa, note that it is not good to use for exfoliation. It is a bit too gentle, and is only good for getting a lather.

Moisturize!
Make sure you are properly hydrated before and after your wax session. A lot of scrub products also contain moisturizing ingredients. Some may be quite moisturizing, but not oily.
To keep your legs in great shape, apply lotion right after taking a shower, and also immediately following your wax session. Many aestheticians will offer to do that for you post-wax.

Refrain from Shaving � at All Cost!
Once you decide to wax, you should stick to leg waxing for good, and never resort to shaving again � especially in-between waxing sessions. It may be tempting to go for a quick shave if you are in a hurry, but fight the temptation.
If you wax, say, every month, and you don�t shave in between, you will notice your hair starting to grow slower and finer each time. This may be enough motivation for you to regularly wax your legs. It�s so effective that once you get the hang of it, leg waxing becomes a natural part of your routine.
