Mainstream media introduced Jacob Blake to America and the world as the 29-year-old Black man who was shot by a White police officer in Kenosha, Wisconsin, but buried deep in those headlines is how the incident actually occurred.
The police didn't just arrive at the location in which the incident happened to harass Blake. They received a 911 call. Police were aware that Jacob Blake had an active warrant for his arrest at the time of the call for a sexual assault charge.
Blake's sexual assault charge regards an earlier event in May of this year wherein he entered the house of the woman who made the now fateful call of August 23rd. The warrant relating to this charge was issued on July 6 of this year.
The woman claims to have woken up, in her residence, to Blake standing over her, demanding his unspecified belongings. He then sexually assaulted the woman with his hand and implied she had been cheating on him.
The three count criminal complaint filed on July 6, 2020 in Kenosha County, Wisconsin against Blake includes:
Criminal Trespass: Domestic abuse a Class A misdemeanor, and if convicted faces a fine of not more than $10,000 or imprisoned not more than 9 months or both.
Third Degree Sexual Assault: Domestic Abuse a Class G Felony and if convicted faces a fine of not more than $25,000.00 or imprisoned not more than r 10 years, or both.
Disorderly Conduct, Domestic Abuse: Class B Misdemeanor and if convicted faces a fine of not more than $1,000 or imprisoned not more than 90 days, or both.
Despite what the liberal mainstream media wants you to believe, Jacob Blake was not an innocent party in this situation. He was and is a criminal.
The initial call on August 23rd was regarding Blake's attempt to take the woman's keys and her car. This is the car seen in the widely circulated amateur video online. This was not Blake's car.
This online video also shows, upon closer examination, a dark, curved, pointed object in Blake's left hand as he walks around the hood/front of the car in question.
This is consistent with the statement provided by witness, Rayshean White, to the AP that he heard officers telling Blake to drop the knife.
KPPA (Kinosha Professional Police Association) released a statement on Friday August 28th. In the statement, Attorney Brendan Matthews, acting as spokesman, said most media accounts so far have been inaccurate.
"The purely fictional depiction of events coming from those without direct knowledge of what actually occurred is incredibly harmful and provides no benefit to anyone whatsoever, other than to perpetuate a misleading narrative."
Matthews further stated that even the Wisconsin DOJ's findings did not include all crucial information and context regarding the incident.
The KPPA statement plainly asserts that Blake was not breaking up a fight between two women as was widely reported earlier in media accounts. It also recounts the levels of attempt to subdue Blake.
- Officers attempted to speak to Blake. He refused to cooperate.
- Officers made verbal commands. Blake did not comply.
- Officers used manual and physical attempts to control Blake. He did not deescalate.
- Officers drew Tasers and stated he would be tased if he did not cooperate. He did not cooperate.
- He was tased once and continued to be combative.
- Attempts at manual and physical restraint continued. The statement reports that Blake put one officer in a headlock.
- Blake was tased again to little effect. He did not cooperate.
- Officers drew weapons, having failed to otherwise subdue Blake; he continued to not comply with officers' commands.
The narrative purported widely in the media that this is a non-violent or unarmed racially-motivated instance of police brutality does not hold up under the light of day presented by these facts.
Questions of the use of deadly force have been raised as well as questions of what constitutes a reasonable threat. Legal commentators have cited the precedent of the Supreme Court case White v. Pauly and related cases. These cases make the argument that an officer does not always have to wait to see the "glint of steel" of a weapon before using deadly force.
Two Kenosha police officers have been placed on administrative leave, and the shooting is being investigated by Kenosha County District Attorney Michael Graveley's office and the Wisconsin Justice Department's division of criminal investigation.
President Trump will visit Kenosha to speak with law enforcement and tour businesses that were destroyed by the riots (not peaceful protesters) after Blake's confrontation with police and shooting. While Trump focuses on restoring law and order, Democrats promote the violence by encouraging the very people destroying American cities.
