Bug Out Storage Options
You will need bug out bags (BOB) to store your survival gear in case you need to leave town and find a safer place to stay . Even though there is no imminent crisis that will require you to leave, having BOB sets ready will bring a certain amount of peace of mind.
Note that these bags can be categorized by weight, which are the following:
Under 20 lbs. – level one equipment and includes any bag with a carrying capacity of 25L. These the ones you use for basic emergencies.
Under 35 lbs. ­– includes 44 L bags and higher. This is the bag for camping during weekends or even for a week or more.
Under 45 lbs. – this is the full size bag, usually more than 49 L carrying capacity. This is the type of bag for long term tours.

Types of Bags by Design

Backpack

Float Bag/Dry Bag
If you're going on a boat trip then you will need a way to keep your gear dry, which is what dry bags are for. You usually store essential documents and electronics in these bags.

Setup
Your final step is to setup your gear in your bug out bag. This will require some planning.
You can setup your gear using different storage options. For example , you can get a full size backpack bag, place all your food and clothing in the main body of the bag, place a metal carrying case containing your meds in an external pocket, all your documents in a dry bag inside an internal pocket, and then arrange the rest of your gear in the other pockets in your backpack.
