Gently press oil blotting paper or tissue on your face. Place the sheet to the light and see if it's soaked, then your face is oily. If the blotting paper has no transparency but has flakes in it, then your skin is dry. If there are no flakes and is not that oily, you have normal skin. Lastly, if the blotted paper has different types of absorption on different areas of the face, then it means that your skin type is a combination of both oily and dry.
