You might think that this pasta is not ideal for children because of the alcohol content. But don't worry, the vodka in this pasta dish has already evaporated while cooking, so you won't have to think of giving your children vodka. Just a warning though, this penne pasta can be very addicting, you will surely ask for more helpings.
This dish is so easy to do that you can just literally throw everything into the skillet and get the meal done in just 15 minutes. It's also easy to prepare with the ingredients that you can mostly find in your fridge. And of course, there's the vodka that you can get from the wine rack at any time. You just need ΒΌ cup, so this won't be intoxicating.
Ingredients:

Cook time: 15 mins
Ingredients:
1 pound penne pasta
3 tablespoons butter, unsalted
1/4 cup vodka
2 garlic cloves, chopped finely
1/2 medium yellow onion, chopped
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 can San Marzano tomatoes
1/4 cup fresh flat-leaf parsley, chopped
Instructions:
1. Pour water with salt in a large pot. Bring to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions or until al dente. Reserve half the cup of pasta water. Drain pasta.
2. Heat oil in a large skillet. Once hot, saute garlic and onion for 3 minutes or until tender and translucent.
3. Add in tomatoes. Pour vodka. Season with salt and pepper. Allow the mixture to simmer for 10 minutes or until the vodka evaporated. Add in butter and heavy cream.
4. Add the pasta with the sauce. Toss pasta until well coated. If sauce is too thick, add some water.
5. Sprinkle parsley and parmesan cheese all over. Serve.
Shrimps and Pasta Surprise
The best thing about pasta is that you can have it with just about any kind of ingredients and still be able to create a sumptuous meal for the family. With just leftover vegetables and a few shrimps, you can already create a meal for everyone to enjoy without them knowing that the ingredients are leftover in the fridge.

Cook time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
1 pound bucatini pasta
1 garlic clove, peeled
1 pound shrimps, peeled, tail off
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 yellow onion, sliced thinly
2 heads broccolis, chopped into bite-sized florets
4 carrots, peeled, made into ribbons
1 container cherry tomatoes, halved
1 tablespoons fresh flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
1 tablespoon basil, julienned
Instructions:
1. Pour water with salt in a large pot. Once water is boiling, place the pasta. Cook according to package instructions.
2. Place broccolis florets and cook for 2 minutes. Drain. Set aside.
3. Place parsley and carrots. Cook for 3 minutes.
4. Add in shrimps and cherry tomatoes. Cook until the tomatoes are fork tender and the shrimps turn pink.
5. Add pasta and the broccolis. Scatter basil. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated. Serve immediately.
