When you think of the highest earning entrepreneurs, people like Ali Brown, Marie Forleo, Pat Flynn or Lewis Howe, what thoughts pop in your mind? I would image the words charisma, experience and expertise usually top your list but .. Surprise! Surprise! those are not THE most important characteristics!
Those characteristics do, in fact, help to attract and keep an audience, but there's one thing that is absolutely critical to their success and for that matter for all of us and it's something you can't even see.
Mindset.
It's so true. I've touched on it many times before. Everything you do, in business or life, your mindset is the absolute deciding factor when it comes to your success.
Your business or service plans are no different. If you don't have the right mindset, you'll forever be attracting and working with clients – while they are wonderful and deserving – are less than your ideal client when it comes to their ability to pay.
To reach your dreams of four or five-figure clients, you have to dig in and start doing some internal work. Your own mindset has to change and be more in line with what the top-earners in your industry already do and feel. Mindset Matters.
Changing Your Attitude
A great attitude plays another huge role in what charismatic and personable people have in common. When you watch Marie Forleo, Carrie Wilkerson or Pat Flynn, you'll not see them complaining about their kids being sick .. again! or that the cable repair person was an hour late or even that their car quit on the way to the store.
What you will see is their expressions of gratitude in everything.
If the kids are sick, they expression their thanks to have a business that allows them to stay home and play nurse.
If the cable guy is late, they're thankful they actually had 40 extra minutes to read that book that's been sitting on your shelf instead of watching television.
Instead of being upset that their car died on the way to do their weekly shopping, they are ecstatic that they found a great mechanic who does great work at a fantastic price.
Complaining about things, just doesn't add the right energy to your life.
When you hear those complaining voices starting up – turn your attitude around. There's always, always something to be grateful for, even in the worst situations. When you change your thinking and adjust your attitude for the better, you'll find yourself not only feeling happier, but you'll attract a better audience, too.

Growing Your Confidence
There's one more thing that top-end entrepreneurs have in common: they are confident. They have a strong belief in what they do. They know their ability and believe it can help others achieve the same thing.
They own the stage when they walk on it or when they join a webinar, they are filled with knowledge that what they are about to say will change the live of those who are listening.
It's not being cocky or arrogant, it's pure confidence. If you aren't there yet, there are steps you can take to increase it.
In any new or uncomfortable situation, start by asking yourself these two questions:
"What's the worst thing that can happen?"
"Will it matter five years from now?"
When you look at the worst-case scenarios, resolve what you have control over and then let go of the rest.
If your answer to' will it matter' is .. it won't .. you know you can go forward without any repercussions down the road. So if you agreed to speak in front of a small group and your fear is you'll flub the speech .. you can start practicing beforehand which will greatly improve your performance and confidence.
Remember practice really does make perfect!
The next step is to 'get inside' the head of someone who's confident and does what you're about to do. It's a great trick to picture yourself 'as if' you had their confidence.
When you walk onto the stage, visualize that you've been doing it for years, and not only will you feel more confident, you'll actually be more confident.
This 'as if' attitude can be used in everything you do from creating a new product to closing a sale. If you feel your confidence slipping, just remember the 'as if' attitude and act as if you've done it successfully hundreds of times. It really works!
Just as a smile can be heard in your voice, any potential clients can sense your mindset.
If it's not in the right place, if it's not as strong as the top earners in your niche, you WILL struggle to make a sale.
When you work on your attitude and you work on building your confidence plus make a commitment to change your mindset, you'll begin to see your income soar.
