Patients still get mobile during this period and do not feel any discomfort even when walking without crutches. At the end of this stage, radiography takes place. Once the bones have solidified enough, that is the perfect time when the doctor will remove the frames.
Rehabilitation and Recovery
The patient may feel normal after bow leg surgery, but he or she still has to perform activities for recovery. Rehabilitation activities include walking and/or swimming. The patient also must refrain from carrying heavy loads. He can only do so after 2 to 3 months after the surgery.
Don�t worry about the surgery leaving scars � small scars may indeed be visible right after the procedure, but they will soon fade and be invisible over time. All that�s left after the bow leg surgery are you and your legs � and the memory of the bow legs that were once there.
