A naturopath doctor practices a job that is not really that famous for being revolutionary or exciting in any way. In fact, most naturopath doctors are not even allowed to practice as the medical professionals that they really are in a majority of US states, as well as in other parts of the world.

Naturopath doctors are required to have medical training. People who want to be a naturopathic doctor must have a bachelor�s degree from an accredited naturopathic medical college, and must have competitive GPAs just like applicants in other medical fields. The training that one gets in a naturopathic medical school is similar to that received from �conventional� medical schools. Every core concept in medicine is taught to naturopathy students, from anatomy to biochemistry. Naturopathic doctors to be are also trained to use medical equipment and modern devices used by medical professionals. In short, such doctors learn the same things as any other medical professional while at school.
Clinical training, on the other hand, is somewhat different from the training of other medical professions. For NDs, students are usually required to spend their clinical time in outpatient settings while under the guidance of an ND physician. The students would usually be required to be involved in minor surgeries, and they are also taught to distinguish cases that are out of scope for them which need referrals to specialists. What NDs can do will depend on what they are licensed to do per state, and this would usually vary and can range from covering dietary advice only to covering even the treatment of particular wounds.
Naturopath treatments and medicines are also different from what is given in homeopathy. With homeopathy, patients are given a very tiny dose of a particular medicine, so small in fact that some wonder whether the medicines actually work on the patients. With naturopath treatments, focus is given on natural ways to be cured such as changes in one�s diet and nutritional intake, exercise, herbal medicine, and other interventions that require little force.
NDs also work alongside other medical professionals, including other medical doctors. There are some people who think that NDs are totally against conventional medicine, but in reality, this is rarely the case. NDs work together with doctors that specialize in other fields, especially if some procedures or cases are better handled with a helping hand.
