Of course, the goal is business success, but when creating a marketing plan, this success must be broken down to bite-sized information. Additionally, this should be realistic and measurable. Available money will greatly dictate the future of the business. When budgeting, one should always remember to use the optimal amount. This means allotting money properly for the startup and operation costs while leaving extra for emergency use. This extra money should just be the right amount. Any surplus means depriving the business of its full potential, and any less will endanger it when financial crisis arise.
Unit 5: Planning Strategies
The strategies that a business owner should use should reflect the things listed in units 1 through 4. This is because these first four units of the marketing plan are like the idea center, wherein unit 5 is the action center. Strategies implemented will be the direct actions of the company and it should not deviate from the ideas in units 1 to 4. Doing so will mean inconsistency. For example, the budget for startup is only limited, but the strategies implemented are quite costly and out of the desired price range. This move can potentially cripple the home business financially and strategically.
This marketing plan is just designed for those who are still beginners in running a home business. As one�s business advances, it is unavoidable to alter some of the ideas in the plan, and add additional units when deemed necessary.
