Some of these positions could make the blade perpendicular to the handle, straight, or bend at 45 degrees. Most of the cheaper ice scrapers will usually only be able to bend in two positions.

Other ice scrapers run on electricity and function like electric shavers. These, however, are considered to be quite risky as electricity and wet snow do not mix well together. They also tend to freeze while doing the job as they don�t have any efficient means of warming themselves up. While some manufacturers have tried to address these problems, most would still prefer to use a manual ice scraper and some elbow grease.
