Why the statement Content Is King Is False In Your Marketing

I am going to make a statement against something that might be against what you have probably heard.

"Content Is King..."

90 percent of the people do not understand about blogging... If you are not getting traffic to your blog or getting leads and their blog is completely failing because it is not doing the one thing it should do which is create business

So I wanted to go over how we can change that let me dispel some myths ...

BIG TIME MYTH

Question, Is Content King?

I would say it is not king when it comes to blogging maybe back in 2003 it was but today it is completely different. There is a difference because there are not many bloggers...

You need to understand its what you do after you publish the blog post and adapt to the changes that are going on with the online world.

I want to introduce you to a really different concept here that you may or may not heard but we are going to call it the 70/30 blogging rule.

Start doing is spend 30 percent of your blogging time creating the actual post and 70 percent of the the time on promoting the blogging post.

The number one thing you need to do is create a custom image for each blog post. This is as simple as going to CANVA http://Canva.com ( a online graphics program that is super easy to use )

There are times when this is not feasible maybe there is a situation where the content is timely and vital to get out there and there was a short time... most of the time is not urgent time.

PROMOTING YOUR BLOG

I am going to give you a few places where you need to think about promoting it... DO THIS FOR EVERY SINGLE BLOG POST YOU CREATE... YES I am going to promote this blog post that I create.

There are times where creating that content will be more then the 30 percent and this is what is referred to as a " PILLAR CONTENT" where is more in depth maybe it has twice as many words as a normal post. It's a everlasting blog post.

Think about copyrighting when you are posing and what is it going to take for you to get someone to read your content. Think about a news story and how they use these strategies and then use them to your advantage use words to create curiosity

Twitter – Go to Twitter and Post a shout out on about you'r new post you just did

Facebook – This should be obvious but you would be surprised

Pinterest – Not just for pretty kitten pictures anymore

Google+ – Another social media site recommended

Linked In – A site that is a bit under the radar ... this is worth using...

Youtube – Make a 30 second up to 2 minutes its a commercial on where to read it...

Instagram – If you create a blog graphic for your post you should post it on Instagram

Periscope – If you can get people to view you can do a very similar as the Youtube video and do something that is very similar on the topic... It's your personal t.v station PROMOTE!
