Coaches are often seen as the perfect picture of health. They are buff, trimmed, and with six-pack abs. Beneath their tough faade, authoritative stance, commanding voices and unending energy, they are humans who too need breaks, suffer burn-outs, and appreciate thank yous.
So before you conclude that your coach will just yell at you and boss you around, take a deeper look and see your trainer in a different light.
1. Your COACH works hard as you do
It may look like your trainer is having the time of her life, but that doesnt mean her job is all about fun. What you dont know is, before she heads to the gym, she may be up all night perfecting choreography cues and compiling playlists. She may have spent hours and money attending conferences to learn new moves to teach you. Coaching and training is a job.
2. Your COACH thinks about you
Most of the time people think that a fitness instructor is lucky she gets paid to work out. But, she thinks more about you than getting her personal targets. She looks into your needs and tries to meet them. Although you might hate her for being strict on you, she is just trying to motivate you so you can get your goals. She is authoritative because she doesnt want to see all of your efforts, time, and money go to waste. Moreover, the movements she demonstrates are not her favorite workouts. These exercises are done with the students best interests in her mind.
3. Your COACH will always be measured
From the time your fitness trainer steps into the gym, she will be consistently monitored. She is expected to give her best every single workout despite the odds. Even though she is burn-out, she is expected to rally excitement and be all smiles. Even though she is irritated by your laxity, she is expected to be motivating and tolerant at the same time. Her audience has high standards and expectations that sometimes, its hard to keep up. But she always strives to be her best because she wants to set an example.
4. Your COACH is always seeking new ways to improve
Theres nothing new she can teach me, you may say. But, your fitness instructor is always seeking ways to develop. She researches the science of what she teaches you. She too attends classes, workshops, and seminars to become the fitness professional you expect her to be. Exercises are constantly changing so she has to keep up.
5. Your COACH does not get a pat in the back (most of the times)
Her job is a thankless job. Her efforts often go unseen. Although she does not require putting laurels on her head, a whisper of thank you is all she need. Sometimes she needs to know she has done a good job. Knowing she done a good job keeps her motivated to always put her best foot forward.
So the next time you see your coach, smile at her, thank her, or if you fancy, give her a stopwatch with necklace that she can wear proudly at your next session. Here at HectcFitness, we have a digital stopwatch that is waterproof and with interval timer that she will surely love. Grab one now because we are running a %50 sale for the next week only.
