You have got to know what pitfalls you can fail big time at in your home business if you want to succeed. Sponsoring and recruiting is all part of the process. There are really 5 land mines that if you learn now it can save you a TON of heartache or pain that can keep you from spending money and time.
And to be quite frank if you are not either sponsoring or recruiting what exactly are you doing to move yourself forward?
What is a Land Mine : Something that is hidden and it blows up in your face!
Lack of knowledge can blow you up in your business TAKE NOTES here people. I just want you to be aware that you need to know. In this business the a ha moments and a light goes off upstairs that can change your business in an instant. You can have a moment that can forever change you.
Just an idea and thats all it takes... some things here you may know or think you know about
Consider this as do not do the power of recruiting lies in the power of the message and the mechanics
1. Weaknesses -
You need to look at yourself and you are either Sponsoring or selling one of those two things... People understand nobody follows weakness. You have got to be strong and confident. You got to Prospect Content Presentation (following up ) Reconnect and Getting a decision.
Displaying weakness while you are recruiting will be poison to your business. You have to be sold in your business don't be timid or reluctant. There is a weakness of the mind and of the action . The mind is you doubt it will work or if you will make it.. and the action is what you are doing by your actions..
How do I actually get past my weakness?
Develop the skillet and also the actions over time... Take some courses that will sharpen your skill-set. Take em from someone you resonate from. You need to learn from a action standpoint and it will produce the results... Set little goals achieve little goals and the strength will grow in you. Working up into taking the next step.
2. Not Asking questions in a two to one ratio...
You got to ask questions and not complete presentation. Remember you got to listen. Don't keep the light on yourself... It's not about you and your home business and all your stuff, it's about them.. how are you going to help them?
How are you going to change their life.. ask those questions.
Ask as twice as many questions to the prospect as you talk about you. If you don't ask questions you will never know what they want and how to help them.
When you ask people question it gets people to open up... and you involve them the richest people in this business, ASK QUESTIONS ! If you ask enough the prospect will reveal everything you want to know about someone.
3. Telling To Much ( not talking )
When you are telling to much you are overwhelming them. Verbal Vomit. Drinking from a firehose.. take your pick of whatever analogy you want.
To many details can make someone shut down and back away. Anything you say after they say " I am ready to go " stop what you are doing and sign em up...
Telling too much in a presentation or telling them after they are sold is crazy. If you cannot recruit them in about 20 minutes today odds are you not going to get them today. They join you because of how you make them feel.
So Scott, How long should a presentation be??? 15 minutes... Answer their questions as long as need be.
4. THEY talk way too much
There will be times when you will find someone that will simply talk and they will not shut up..
They DO NOT give a chance to talk and THEY WASTE YOUR TIME. Odds are that they are not going to be a fit in your business unless you can get them to focus.
Don't let em waste your time say " TIME OUT "
Interrupt them and ask "Excuse me, but do you honestly have any kind of curiosity about this home business or should I just scratch you off my leaders list? "
The one exception is when you do something.. if they get quiet and let you talk.
5. Leaving Too Late
People refuse to leave the prospect and move on
With the "Still thinking about it" answer
missed meetings and webinars
They joined the witness protection program
Persistent silence
Unanswered calls
Flat out told ya
The reality online or off line keep in touch and move on and understand if they have not moved toward you in some way within 7 days they are not going too..
You do not chase the professional realize timing is not good so they put them on a drip auto responder..
Tell em your going to put them down for a no right now and when they are ready to come and get in touch with you.
