Keeping oneself healthy has always been a challenge. Each type of food that you eat and each type of activity that you do every day can greatly influence not only your physical health, but also your mental state. One of the greatest challenges in keeping your body healthy is keeping your weight within the normal range. Though it is widely known that maintaining a healthy weight has positive effects on one's body, many dare not to, and that is due to several reasons. First, to lose weight means to wake up so early in the morning and walk or jog around the village. Though this can greatly help in weight loss, it is not always necessary.

Second, to lose weight means to eat less and suppress one's cravings. Again, this is not always true. There are superb foods that you can eat wholeheartedly without adding some pounds to your belly. Third, to lose weight means letting go of your old unhealthy habits and learning new good ones.

The phrase, "weight loss" has gained so much skepticism because of these three reasons, but what the people don't know is that losing weight is not all about struggles. There are many easy and fun ways for them to lose those extra pounds. Here are some of them:

Learn Yoga. One of the most popular methods to relieve stress nowadays is yoga. What people do not know is that yoga can also be a part of their weight loss plan. All you need is comfortable attire, a quiet spot in the house and a yoga mat.

Practice yoga for at least 15 minutes per day, three times a week and you won't even realize you are losing weight! Yoga helps clear your mind, calm your nerves and replenish your body's lost energy. The eventual relief from tension prevents you from stress eating.

Drink more glasses of water. You might have heard your elementary teacher telling you to drink eight glasses of water a day. Drinking a lot of water does not only facilitate the excretion of waste products from the body, but it also helps keep your skin and your body healthy.

Drinking a glass of water, particularly prior to a meal, is one smart way of precluding your huge appetite. It hastens the sensation of fullness, hence, help you eat less.

Spend an hour less in front of your computer or television. Isn't it tempting to munch on some Cheetos while watching a movie? This is the main reason why you should reduce the time you usually spend in front of the television if you want to lose weight. Instead of watching TV or playing games on your computer, why not just try to help your mom do some household chores? That way, you don't just avoid the temptation, but you also get to sweat some fats out.

Get a good night sleep. Many people believe that sleeping too much leads to weight gain, but the truth is it is sleeping less that does the job. Studies show that sleeping for less than 5 hours a day can make you less energetic and hence, more inclined to eating the next day.
