Yet, Sweden is still trendy, modern and sophisticated - especially with its capital Stockholm, a bustling metropolis.

Midsummer dances are abundant and crowds remain festive as they frolic around a pole that is decorated with flowers and leaves. There is a party afterwards, and merrymaking continues for some time. Food such as pickled herring, potatoes, strawberries and cream can be sampled and liquor is also widely available.

Up next is Kiruna in Lapland, a place agreeable to adventure-seekers who adore the winter wonderland. Because it is Sweden's northernmost town, skiing, snowboarding, dogsledding, and ice skating are popular here. Kebnekaise, the highest mountain in Sweden is here, too.
In Uppsala, the largest cathedral and the Uppsala castle are found here in the fourth largest city in Sweden.
For a whiff of the warm seaside air, Helsingborg is the right place for travelers who want to try public baths. The Sofiero Palace and the Fredriksdal Open-Air Museum are likewise here for those who take pleasure in strolling gardens.
Another travel tip that may turn out to be helpful for guests is to camp and stay in hostels for a relatively low budget. Trains are also plentiful for it is one of the ways Swedes travel.
