One of the most popular lead generation tools is the use of sales funnels. This is like fitting in all your prospects and leads into one funnel to get the best out of them the customer.
Initially, there are people who are not aware, or who are not just interested with whatever your products and/or services are. But working your way to reach them and entice them into your business is what you need. So closely monitoring these people to turn them or draw their attention towards what you offer, is what the sales funnel process is all about. Basically, it is filtering the people who have potentials to be one of your customers.
At this point, you have probably understood already why sales funnels are important. But the question of what the sales funnel process is remains.
Typically, in order to have a customer, you have to make them aware of your services/products first. This is the initial stage of the process where you use different marketing strategies. Make absolutely sure that you are using the right media and approach in building your name in the industry you are in.
The next thing you have to do after making them feel your presence is pulling their interest towards your business. Again, what matters here, aside from your strategy, is giving them the highlights and benefits of availing what you are offering. From the customer s standpoint, a question like, "why would I make a purchase?" would surely be lingering on their heads after learning about your offers/products.
Now, upon answering the question, they will either reject or purchase. If they decided on the latter, purchasing your services/products, then you have just made it to the next stage. Your target customer has probably already evaluated your offer and decided to take a chance on it. After you have just made him into a customer, is it the end of the sales funnel process, certainly, it is not.
After making a profit once, it is not enough to stop there. Once you have made a single sale, make it possible that he becomes a regular one. Now, what if there s no way you could make him a regular customer? Well, if that is the case, still, the process does not stop there. If he can t be one of your loyal customers, then at least ensure that he can share your business product and convince somebody to give it a shot too.
Sales funnels, although literally looked like a funnel or inverted pyramid, is a cycle. It is a never ending process of selling and making customers.
Online marketers should keep in mind that the sales funnel process is intended to generate more leads to fit into the funnel then move to the next stages until it goes down to where profit is waiting. Constant innovation of the first two stages of the process can make a significant change. Particularly to the number of people who will qualify for the last stage.
So start by generating many leads. Afterwards, you will have your sales funnel process rolling. Again, it is making your leads know, engage, purchase, and recommend your services/products. However, it may take you some time in one of the stages before moving into the next one. Although the faster the better, what matters is the result after all the processes are done. Interestingly, a good plan in each stage would drastically change the digits of the profit you can have.
