Success In Network Marketing - Stand Tall

Are you having difficulty attracting new customers and developing your downline for your network marketing opportunity? This is, of course, the major area of struggle for most networkers. Do you find yourself acting a little nervous, with sweaty palms, afraid to approach people, unsure of yourself, unclear what you should say next? Well sadly enough for many of us, you are not alone. Let's talk about that.

Your attitude permeates everything you do. It comes through. Are you embarrassed to be in network marketing? Do you think that people are going to accuse you of being in a pyramid scheme, a scam or worse, something illegal? Does that attitude come through? Are you concerned about what others might think of you? Are you afraid you will alienate your friends and family? Do you approach people carefully and gently so as to not say the wrong thing?

If any of these behaviors sound too familiar you are shooting yourself in the proverbial foot.

It doesn't work that way. You've got to stand tall. You've got to be proud. There are millions of people in network marketing. And yes, a lot of people don't make much money at it but that's not your fault, that's their fault. There are a lot of reasons people don't make money in network marketing. What we are discussing here is one of the dominant reasons many people don't make much money and give up before the magic happens.

They are not standing tall. You don't have to be one of them. Stand tall. Be proud.

Start by having a product or service that you truly believe in and use yourself so you can tell stories about how your product service or widget has changed your life (hopefully for the better).

Don't sell! Instead tell stories! This arouses curiosity and leads people to ask you for more information rather than you shoving information at them unsolicited.

You've got to be a product of the product. The general format of the story is: Hey, before I started to use this product, this used to happen. After I started to use it, this is what happened, and now, this is what happens and I am so happy!

If you don't have a personal story to tell, tell a story about a friend, an acquaintance, someone you know.

But the important message for today is stand tall, be proud, be enthusiastic. Believe in your product. Believe in yourself. Be a product of your product and that enthusiasm will come through, and you will find you have a far easier time than if you approach people with your shoulders slumped, and you're insecure, and you're afraid that they might criticize you because, oh, ah, it's network marketing.

No, it's network marketing, the greatest profession on earth. Now go proudly forth and tell stories!
