Network Marketing Success: Manage Your Time

Do you have a home based business? Do you find that life keeps interfering and you don't have time to work on your business? If that describes you, I have some tips for you to better manage your time and achieve network marketing success.

First, I personally think the phrase "time management" is an oxymoron. We can't manage time. We all have the same 24 hours each day. What we can manage is tasks and we can allocate time to tasks. So I have four suggestions for you.

But first, I need to know. Is your home based business a serious business or is it a hobby? A hobby is something we do in our "spare" time when we want to chill or relax (unless it is golf, then we do it to stress ourselves to the max).

A business is something we take seriously and schedule into our busy lives so here are the four tips (assuming you are serious about success in your network marketing business)

Network marketing success tip 1: Decide how many hours per week you are going to work on your business. I don't care if it is 2 hours, 20 hours or 100 hours. Pick a number, commit to it and stick to it.

Success tip # 2: Schedule the time to work on your business. I don't care if it is at 7:0 AM in the morning or 7:00 PM in the evening. But, you must schedule it.

Success tip # 3: Pick a quiet place to work on your business. It can't be at the kitchen table after dinner while the kids are doing homework, the dog is barking, the wife is doing the dishes and the TV is running. Be serious, go to work. If there is no suitable place at home, go to Starbucks but find a suitable spot to isolate yourself from everyday life and the distractions.

Success tip # 4: Negotiate with your family (and friends if necessary) Tell them that during this time, you are at work and not interruptible any more than you can be interrupted at the office of your 9 to 5 job. Explain you are serious about your network marketing business and you are doing it for them so that you can have that vacation to Disneyland next year that everyone wants.

If you do it this way,

� decide how much time you are going to spend working on your business,

� schedule that time to work on your business each day

� arrange a suitable environment for your business

� negotiate with your family for the time and environment

...you will have taken a huge step toward success in network marketing by managing your time effectively.
