One of the things that is really important in any business is to be consistent It is especially true that to be a success in network marketing we must be consistent in our activities. Now I want to make a very critically important point here. It has often been said that practice makes perfect and while that is true, it is also true that imperfect practice makes imperfect. What do I mean by that?
Practicing the wrong things will make you very good at doing the wrong things. So in the business of building a network marketing organization, there are really only a couple things that we need to do that are the primary money producing activities. One of those is to share our opportunity with people, and to be sharing it on a regular basis. The other is to follow up with people.
Cleaning our desk, organizing our files, making our list, checking it twice and doing similar activities may be useful occasionally, but they do not make us money. What produces income is sharing the opportunity with people and yes, as I have said in previous videos and articles, we have to be prepared for and "go for no".
There will be rejection but you can't think of it as rejection. As I have said before, just like the waitress walking around asking if you want coffee, some will, some won't. It is not personal, just move on to the next person.
Same is true here. You share the opportunity with potential clients. Some will, some won't, so what? Move on!
So it depends on how fast you want to build your business. People who are really going fast will tell you to share it with 10 people each day. Now that may be unrealistic for many of us who have other commitments such as a job, or a spouse, or children at home. Many of you are doing this part time so 10 people a day may be tad much. But, whatever it is for you, pick a number.
You are going to share your business opportunity with 1 person a day, 2 people each day, 2 people each week. Whatever your number is, pick it, commit to it and be consistent. Do it every day whether you feel like it or not. And if you maintain a level of consistency with the appropriate business building, money making activities, your business will grow.
