When you read the title of this article, you probably thought, "some kind of bizarre conspiracy theory" therefore all I ask is you hear me out.
If we take a look at this strictly from the scientific research, and often this is research that has been done by individuals and proven, however not accepted by the mainstream medical community, we can at least see that humans are getting sicker than ever before. There are more new disorders that have sprung up in the last 100 years, than in the last million years of human existence.
Its undeniable in america, that at least to some extend, our government advises us what to eat by way of the Standard american diet( SAD) The government recommends that we eat 7-9 portions of bread a day, how much meat, how much fruit and vegetables right? This is where the problems begin, because Paleo enthusiasts along with many of the medical community now feel that those government recommendations are not only wrong, but certain foods they are recommending, will actually cause us to become obese and sick. I am actually talking about grains, and pretty much everything that involves white flour. The research on this subject is everywhere, but for those that are getting a shock by hearing this, take a look at The Grain Brain, by Dr David Perlmutter, or Wheat Belly by William Davis.
Without going into all the evidence that is there in these books, we can say with 100 % certainty that removing these foods can stop the on set of numerous diseases, including auto-immune disease. The layman's explanation is that, we humans genetically customized our wheat and corn, which our body was not able to handle, and this consequently is creating disease in us today.
Our governments have heavily invested in the manufacturing of wheat and corn, we now grain feed all our cows and chickens and various other livestock, and we recycle corn waste into things like high fructose corn syrup, which is in almost all soft drinks. Cows were meant to eat grass, chickens were meant to eat bugs and insects, what we have done is rearranged the diets of these animals as well as our own, and as a result we're all getting sick.
Next problem, is once we are sick, instead of changing our food, we take pharmaceuticals, made by the multi-billion dollar drug companies, who pay huge federal government tax bills. Almost every government on the planet is aware that by returning to a diet of fruit, vegetables, grass-fed meat, non-farmed fish, nuts and seeds and eliminating all grains, processed sugars and flour products will return their populations to genuine health. This research is undeniable, which is why Paleo is the most searched diet (even though we don't call it a diet, its a lifestyle) on google, and further more the government wont do anything because they need the money from grain and wheat production and they need the cash from the drug companies.
So exactly where does that leave us? It means we have to have a leap of faith, and take our health and wellness back into our very own hands.
Start by doing away with all things white. Bread, flour noodles, pasta and take out all processed sugary drinks. Socrates famously said" Let thy food be thy medicine." He was right. Paleo nutrition is essentially, meat, vegetables and fruit, with nuts and seeds, eggs. Steer clear of from all corn oil and vegetable oils. Cook in butter or olive oil or even coconut oil. If food comes in a packet or a tin, its not real food.
