The Voice is a singing type of reality TV show with competitions. The show finds amazing singing talent, and many have gone on to be part of major record deals or bands as a result of their exposure on the show.

Contestants of the show must be at least 15 years of age. Thousands of hopefuls come out to show what they have, but only a handful of them actually make it onto The Voice.

What is very unique about the program is that the final selection of those that will perform in eliminations are selected by the coaches. However, all the coaches hear are the voices, they have their chairs turned around so they can't see what the person or persons performing look like. They hit a button and they are turned to face the performer if a coach likes what they hear.

At the end of the performance, that person can select any coach that showed an interest in them if there was more than one. The coaches are also trying to win, and they work hard to make sure that those they coach are able to make successful improvements. There are some wonderful and talented singers as part of the coaching. They include Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.

There is an elimination process on each episode, and fans can call in and vote. They can also vote online or with mobile devices. They can also buy the songs of the performers all week long in iTunes. Each purchase through iTunes counts as a vote.

The final winner each season earns $100,000 and a recording contract. There are two seasons that take place each year based on how the eliminations fall. There are four coaches on The Voice that critic each performance. Season 7 of The Voice will begin in September of 2014.
