People typically use lunchboxes to avoid waiting in line in a canteen. If you work in an office, here are several lunchbox recipes that you can use.
- Recipe for Banana and Raspberry Loaf
- 150 grams of butter
- 1/2 cup of frozen raspberries
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 2 eggs that are lightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 2 cups of self-raising flour
- 2 ripe bananas (mushed and peeled)
Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Use butter to smear the loaf pan's interior. Place a baking paper in the loaf pan.
Combine the butter and sugar until they form a pale mixture. Use an electric mixer to do this. Add an egg into the mixture. Make sure that you thoroughly blend the mixture before adding another egg.
Place the bananas into the mixture and stir it well. Add the baking powder and flour into the mixture. Pour milk in the mixture and stir it well. Add the raspberries in the mixture.
Scoop the mixture into the loaf pan. Bake the mixture for 45-50 minutes. Let the loaf cool for 10 minutes by placing it onto a wire rack. Cut the loaf into slices and place them in your office lunchbox.
- Recipe for Aloha Roll
- 1 slice of canned pineapple
- 1 wholemeal bread roll
- Butter spread
- Baby cos lettuce leaves
- 2 tablespoons of grated cheese
- 2 cooked bacon rashers
Slice the bread roll in half. Spread butter onto the sliced portion of the bread roll. Place the cheese in between the bread roll.
Place the leaves on top of the cheese. The bacon rashers should be placed on top of the leaves. Place the sliced canned pineapple on top of the bacon rashers. Place the aloha roll in your office lunchbox if it's done.
- Recipe for Apple and Bran Muffins
- 1 egg (lightly beaten)
- 1 1/2 cup of self-raising flour that's sifted
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon of sifted, baking powder
- 1/2 cup of apple sauce
- 1 1/2 cups of wheat bran
- 1 cup of reduced-fat milk
- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 1 large apple that's grated
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
Pre-heat oven to 170 degree Celsius. Grease each mold of the muffin pan with oil.
Place cinnamon, apple, sugar, bran, flour, and baking powder in a huge bowl. Stir to combine the mixture thoroughly. Make sure to make a hole at the center of the mixture.
Place egg, oil, sauce, and milk in a jug. Mix them well.
Pour the mixture from the jug into the large bowl. Make sure to pour it into the hole that's made in the mixture of the large bowl. Combine the mixture in the large bowl by stirring it.
Scoop the mixture into the molds of the muffin pan. Bake the muffins for 25-27 minutes. You can also stop baking the muffins if they've turned brown.
Allow the muffins to cool down by placing them on a wire rack. Wait at least 5 minutes before you can place them in your office lunchbox.
