If you want to use white vinegar, pour it onto a paper towel. Place the paper towel onto the interior of the container. Leave the paper towel overnight. Remove the paper towel in the morning. You can also wipe away any remaining white vinegar.
Check your lunchbox if it's clean to determine if these methods are working. Don't forget to check if it doesn't produce bad odor.
