Eating is the most essential humanly experience for men. In as much as we need it for life and growth, we consider it as an enjoyable activity as well.

Without a doubt, we all share the same love for food. No matter how diverse we are by creed, color, and language, food is the one thing that we could all celebrate together.

Whatever we do, with or without occasion or celebration, in the midst of living our day to day lives, one way or another we find time to stop and take a break to feed our hungry tummy and nourish ourselves with nutrients needed by the body.

So then, we started to pack our lunch. As people became preoccupied with work to earn their living, and where meals may not be feasible to be partaken in the kitchen or dining table as traditionally done, the working man took off for work with the packed lunch.

And so, by the early 1800's, the essential lunchbox came to be. The earliest lunchbox that we know of now, came in a steel fashioned pail designed to give the working man his lunch as hot and fresh at the time it was prepared up to the time he opens it during the glorious lunch break, like as if it has just been served right from the kitchen of his home. Of almost the same era, school children used the same kind of lunch pails for their packed lunch or snacks.

The market for the earliest known lunchbox for kids was sold in mass volumes. By then, it started to be as essential as the ones used by their parents. Of recent times, bringing your own personal lunchbox has been of fashion for more practical reasons.

It is very {convenient|practical}. You would be able to budget your meals while at the same time, have the food that you really like. Say, you want a gourmet sandwich for lunch and surely it is available in a restaurant near your workplace, but the servings are big and so is the price. But you can always prepare an equally special and even yummier gourmet sandwich in your kitchen and pack it in your nice little lunchbox. In a modest serving size that's just right for your lunch consumption, you would definitely be able to economize.

Not long after, we recognized the more important reason for that essential lunchbox. It benefits our health and wellness above all.

Dining out in a fast food restaurant definitely leads to those unhealthy extra calories. You would not want to pack in those junk because it would not just bulge your tummy, but may even block your arteries. You can now plan and practice preparing your own healthy lunch choices ahead in a week, and not be tempted to partake of those unhealthy fried fries that goes with with your favorite fast food meals.

Besides, with that nice little lunchbox coming in handy, you would be able to prepare and cook your own food. You can also be creative at that. Wouldn't that make you happy?
