Online Marketing - Tools and Strategies
We started the week investigating an online leader who appealed to us because
of his fresh and authentic approach.
There were many things that appealed to us and one of those things was his
confidence in attracting leads from blogs and videos.
In the end we sent him an email of all the metrics of where we were at and he
replied within 24 hours which was pretty impressive.
Being able to reach and actually talk too someone is something we actually look for
and his reply was fairly straight forward and helpful.
Out of the very challenging aspects of online marketing is that when talking
about anything requires qualification on every statement that's made which
means it is not simple but instead complex.
Marketers are in the business to make online marketing sound easy because that's
just the condition of the human ego, it's either trying to move away from pain or
move towards pleasure.
Anyway, out of all that discussion and query we didn't really discover anything
we didn't already know except to say we got confirmation we were on the right track.
Being on the right track is understanding that list building is of a primary concern
and what sort of leads, you are attracting or paying for follows a close second.
The direction he recommended for targeted leads was Facebook because of it's
targeting demographics plus our online partner Janine had done several Facebook courses
with people like Don Wilson, Andrew Murray, Brian Moran and very recently was following
Mike Filsaime and Andy Jenkins on there Traffic Genesis launch.
By the end of the week we had hooked up with Digital Marketers Ryan Diess who will
be teaching us how to create native ads on Facebook.
Our passive leads strategy is long term, meaning we want to put long term infrastructure
in place that will attract leads our way without our effort, it's the idea of doing
the work once and it stays done.
This strategy of having a base flow of leads coming your way everyday from your blogs
and videos. Eight figure earner Mike Dillard said years ago that 20 leads a day was the
benchmark to having a base flow of leads that can create momentum.
Seven Figure earner Michael Force was investing $50,000 a month into paid traffic in
the gold rush days of Google Adwords when it all came crashing down because they didn't
like the hype and bullshit that pervades online business opportunities.
Michael says he invested a year putting together a whole new strategy so that the same
thing couldn't happen again. Part of that strategy was the idea getting 5 leads a day
from 100 different sources and broken down means get 1 lead a day from 20 sources.
So you can see our blog and video strategy is about having a long term sustainable lead
flow and using a medium like Facebook is more to do with creating bursts of profit into
a business supported with follow up webinars and bonuses that add value to the customers
buying experience.
