Then, slowly lower your body to a 45 degree angle while holding a medicine ball at your hands. If this is not available, you can use a half-full water jug as an alternative. Slowly twist your body to the left and right while holding the ball/jug, using only your side abdominal muscles. The exercise will be effective in tightening the sides of the abdomens and removing the so-called "love handles".
Standing Elbow Raise
This is one of the exercises to lose belly fat that can effectively target both the upper and lower abdomen. To perform this, you need to stand with both feet at shoulder-width apart and your arms raised and bent. Make sure that the elbows are pointing to the ground and are locked in place. Then, slowly raise your left knee and twist your upper body to the left so your right elbow will touch your left knee. Slowly return to your original position and perform the same exercise for the right knee and left elbow respectively. Do this exercise as many times as possible, alternating between the limbs for every repetition.
Sit Ups (With a Twist)
One of the more common exercises to lose belly fat, this exercise will require you to lie down on your feet with knees bent. Using your abdomen, slowly raise your body till it is at equal level with your knee. The twist here is that you don't immediately lower your upper body. Instead, perform two sideway jabs with your left and right arms before lowering your body. This extra action will target your side abdominal muscles. After that, lower your body and repeat the exercise for at least 10 times per set.
