Application Prep I cut, filed and cleaned each nail with alcohol as the guidelines inform you to do. And I saw the video to ensure I knew what I was doing prior to I started. In the video they have the special Jamberry heater, but the guidelines state to utilize your blow clothes dryer, so that's exactly what I grabbed.

Application

This was a learning process for sure. You are to trim the nail sheets down a little bit. I in fact cut the entire strip in half since my nails are short and needed just about 1/4 or a little bit even more of a strip. This is excellent news due to the fact that one set of strips offer you numerous applications. The disappointment because is if you are using an ombre strip like I did, I didn't get much of the middle color - right here, purple.

I managed a strip with a tweezers and held it under my blow clothes dryer heat for a couple of seconds. Then, I pushed onto my nails like a sticker label and massaged it to bond.

Then, I took my nail file and filed off the unwanted. It took me a nail or more to see just how much the pressure I needed to remove the edge, once I got that down, it was incredibly easy.

Lastly, I used the air from the blow dryer to the nail to warm it up and afterwards pressed down once more to seal it effectively.

Exactly how Did They Look?

This was my first time using Jamberry nails and I'm going to assume that if you are searching for evaluations, you have not applied them yet either. Here are some things that I will do next time I put them on.

The curve on the nail strip never ever matches the actual nail bed curve. However it was my first time, so I simply went with it. You can absolutely inform that this is not polish on my nails because of the generic nail strip curve. Next time I will take more time prior to I pull the strip off of the plastic and cut them to match my nails more.

Again, my nails had the tendency to be in-between sizes of strips so I needed to decide a little bit too big or a little bit too little. I chose both. On the too small ones, you have that odd side part of your nail without any "polish". On the too huge ones, you have an obvious strip that is too huge for your nail. No win there, either.

I understood that I needed to s.l.o.w. d.o.w.n. and trim up those sheets to best fit my nails.

Durability Even with my struggles with some being a little bit too huge on the sides of my nail, these nail strips are bonded to my nail really highly. Cleaning the dishes and having fun with my kids in the sandbox had nothing on these nails.

I will admit to not taking them off yet, however the directions seem rather easy, so if there is no update to this review, you can assume they came straight off as directed.

Update: At about 2 weeks, one of my nails was clearly coming off, so I delicately peeled it off. Within the next 2 days, they were all turning a little bit gooey and prepared to remove. I will confess to not soaking them like they recommend and just delicately brought my nail under the nail polish strip to eliminate, and it did trigger a little damages to a few of my nails. I take complete blame since I was searching for the easy way to remove and they were all beginning to come off. I'm not sure if soaking them would have been better, but I assume so.

Likewise, I grew to such as the look of the strips as they were on my nails for a longer period of time and got numerous discuss the ombre appearance even though I felt it was hardly noticeable.

Last Ideas When it pertains to shopping on Jamberry's website, the searching isn't simple. They have arbitrary classifications that do not truly help you in understanding exactly what you're going to find. (e.g. the Ombre nails I have are in "Playful Pop" along with 29 various other strips. Navigation is difficult. With so many alternatives, bearing in mind where you found "that one" isn't easy.

With some time and practice, I can honestly see loving the sturdiness and long-lasting look of Jamberry. And instead of direct sales, it would be terrific to have these nail polish strips offered in the drugstore.
