Getting traffic to your site is the first step in making money through an online business. We believe that creating effective back links to your site is a far superior approach. It takes longer for this strategy to work, but the benefits are greater in that the strategy is likely to create more steady traffic for your web site.

Note that Google has found a way to limit spammers and link farmers from cheating the system, but just because there are tighter rules for back linking does not mean that is no longer important. Having quality back links is important to making money online.

What is back linking?

Basically, back links are links that direct to your website or a certain page. Back links help website owners to improve their search rank. To properly index websites, search engines check the quality of the links directing to a particular website or page. Search engines use back links as one of the factors to determine page rank. The back links of your site will either bring down or raise your search rank. Having good back links in your niche is one of the keys to making money online.

Why are back links important to making money online?

Making money through an online business is not as easy as it seems. You need to be patient and determined to make your website profitable. Acquiring good back links within your niche is one way of making money online. Back links are what drives traffic to your website. Second, sharing content through social media accounts for your website is another way to get good back links. Google has now included social media into its algorithm. Sites that have links to social media are rewarded. At the bare minimum, we recommend setting up a Facebook page and Twitter account for your webiste.
