Getting started
Before we get spinning, make sure that all apps are closed│there are no other apps playing in the background. Mixing requires big amounts of RAM (Random Access Memory); about 500Mb is enough. Any other applications running will slow down your phone and will affect your mix. Crashing and lagging are more likely to happen if several applications are trying to your phone's all at the same time.

User Interface
Once you open Virtual DJ Android, you'll see an interface like most DJ software in PCs. You'll see two classic turn-tables to mix and match your music.
You have four tabs above the screen to choose from: Player, Options, Equalizer and Tracks. The turntables are located at the player tab. To adjust configurations and system preference select the options tab next to the player. The equalizer is featured with the│has a three-band equalizer to tweak the frequencies of the song. You can choose, queue and edit song details in the tracks tab.
Although the app can be used while in a portrait view, it is better to mix in landscape. This is to make it easier to play and control two tracks simultaneously.

Time to mix it up!
Now that you know your way around, it's time to make your first mix.
1. Select a song from the tracks tab. Click and drag it to the turn table. It usually takes a few seconds to load when you play it the first time, because Virtual DJ Android is checking│analyzing the song's beats per minute (BPM). BPMs are incredibly│very useful in selecting the right tracks to mix together. Just by checking if two songs have the same BPM, you can already say that they will mix quite well, even if you haven't listened to them yet!
Make sure to load all of the tracks you're going to use in order to avoid waiting when you perform.
2. Mixing. Before you play the tracks, make sure to click the sync button. If you have two tracks on the turntables, syncing them can adjust the tracks' BPM, by increasing or decreasing its pitch. To manually adjust the song, you can use the crossfaders.
If you are a newbie, never do a performance unprepared. Even mainstream DJs practice to make sure the transition of every song is perfect.

Being a DJ not only means two songs. Virtual DJ Android also has samplers and effects. Samplers can drive a crowd insane if used before the peak of the song.
