Nothing can make a mother happier more than her healthy baby. Regardless of gender, babies usually make their mothers happy with just a simple smile. A baby is born every day in every place in the world. In some countries, babies are considered as good luck charms and said to continue the legacy of a family in the future. These thoughts though, are still in the future. A baby is under a mother's care until the time he grows up and is able to carry his own body. Even so, mothers think of their children as their babies even at their older age.
Motherhood is said to be the most difficult job a woman may experience. From birth of a baby until the mother's last breath , motherhood never ends as long as the children are there. A baby's first few months are crucial stages in his life. Without a mother, a baby would easily die due to lack of food, and due to other outside forces that sees him unprotected by a mother.
On the first month after birth, the baby usually spends the whole day sleeping. While sleeping, his brain development happens. It is important to keep the baby full from time to time and look after him while he sleeps. He is vulnerable to any outside attack because of his small size and fragile, unaware body.
As months pass, the baby begins to change in appearance and begins to do new activities that, for some mothers, are milestones that become reasons to celebrate. He begins to recognize colors and shapes. He begins to roll his eyeballs and follow motions that he sees.
On his sixth month, the baby begins to sit down and tries to stand up. He develops emotion and starts to cry when scolded or when his toy is grabbed away from him. A baby is more vulnerable to bumps and bruises because a 6-month old baby moves too much, unaware of pain before he hits a hard surface.
Immunity of a baby is very weak. That is why he is prone to sicknesses illnesses as light as a fever, to as serious as measles. That is why most government organizations in most countries offers vaccinations for babies to prevent diseases from getting into their already weak body. Vaccinations often cause babies to have fever on the same day it was performed. This is because the baby's body was injected with the viruses themselves to make the body immune to the same kind of viruses that may attack him in the future.
Babies are jolly fellows and they always make people smile. Although it is difficult to make a baby sleep, his smile may be the best smile in the world and it is only this smile that takes away the fatigue parents always experience in their everyday work .
Milk is an important food for the baby. A mother's milk is the best. Today, however, many milk supplements are being traded in the market. This is because not all mothers may provide the right amount of milk every time and some of them may be sick. For example, drinking milk from a mother undergoing medication can be harmful to the baby.
