It is certainly not often that we in America notice fresh automotive companies emerge. However,times are changing and and upstart automaker generally known as Elio Motors is soaring to the pinnacle like a shimmering star.

Let's face it times are not easy for many American people and secure, affordable and tasteful do not often appear in one competitively priced package. The Elio is an extraordinary exception to that rule and could possibly be the next "goto" vehicle for the wider public.

Before a very good friend turn me on to the Elio I had never heard about it. I needed know what the background was. Providing up to 84 miles to the gallon on the Highway and 49 miles in the city limits my attention was grabbed! All for $6,800 and it is 95% American material.

I had to learn more and where I could locate one. Well it seemed shortly before I was on the Elio website and identified that they were promoting not only a viewing, but evaluation drives in select metropolitan areas. Seems that they were destined to be in my location in a week. As the week passed I had all sorts of preconceived notions regarding my expected test drive. I pondered how it would handle, speed, pickup and luxury. I was astonished, this thing deals with ALL bases and is a peaceful ride too. Also I was pleasantly surprised by the all round quality and attention to detail blew me away.

The selling price at first suggested that it may not have all I needed. Man was I absolutely taken back when I sat in this thing! First off the seats are extremely distinctive and really comfortable. The inside is comparable to a high end automaker; and there was ample leg room!

Taking the vehicle for a test drive was a thorough treat. Handling was excellent. It has the pickup to get you out of the gate the right way with plenty of power to spare. The Elio managed curves like it owned the road. At this time any skepticism that I would buy one of these things were non-existent. I was sold.

Not merely does Elio have my nod. It will also have my business. They answered all of my queries and were very happy to fill me in on where they were at as a company and where they intend on being within the next 5 years.

Elio Motors is probably not a household brand yet. However I am certain that these beauties will be appearing on our roadways and in our garages in huge numbers as more people recognize that this car is the authentic deal and is here to stay.
