I recently was at a movie theater as we were waiting for the feature film to start, one of the preview movie trailers came on (I don't remember which one) and someone blurted out "What do you do for a living?" (I don't know what actor said it!) Someone else responded "I live for a living!" Even though I can't remember which trailer and what actors were involved, those words still ring in my ears, "I live for a living". How great is that!!!
I can remember working hard all of my life looking forward to retirement, so then I could live life. At the age of seven, my brothers and I would sell Hot Tamales on the streets of Tampa, Florida. At the age of ten my uncle hired us at his meat market and we became butchers. In 1972 my Dad and Mom bought a little grocery store and it became an enterprise in a short few years. The original small grocery store became a big supermarket with a meat department of 8 butchers, and then we later added a full stocked fish market. We were visited by the hundreds on a daily bases, then we added a small café that added to our growing success. The corner gas station became available, so we bought it and turned it into a bigger restaurant. We continued to buy the properties around us until we ended up with one complete city block. In 1992 we built a two story 14,000 square feet facility that houses two restaurants and a banquet hall that sits 500 people. We opened a bakery, then a Tex Mex restaurant, all in the same city block. We still continue to buy properties and we currently own almost 3 city blocks. My dad opened a family dance club on Fridays and Saturdays visited by hundreds every weekend. We continue to grow with dozens and dozens of employees.
My family and I have been working for so many years, but not necessary living. We just celebrated our forty years anniversary in business. We have been very successful, but it has taken a lot of hard work and sacrifice. I often thought if there could have been an easier way and I think I just found it. Network Marketing and Multi-Level Marketing is my answer. Why? Well because I can earn 1% through the efforts of 100 persons and create residual income without waste, theft, inventory, liabilities, and dozens of employees.
You might be saying that those multi-levels don't work, but the truth is that the multi-level marketing companies do work. It was us who hadn't figured it out. Yes that's what I have found out in the short period of time that I have been in one. You can have a great company, a great leadership, a great system, a great product, and still it could be us who don't get it right. I have met people in the industry of multi-level marketing that in a short period of time are making six figure incomes a month without all the moving parts that we have in our multimillion dollar enterprises. The interesting and shocking part of it is that they are making the six figure income with an investment that is so small in comparison to ours. With an investment of as little as a thousand dollars, they are making more than we are in our multimillion dollar investment, and with way less liability.
"I live for a living" struck a chord in my heart because no matter where we are in life, we do not have to conform to what we have done all of our lives, " work for a living". Many times we are confronted with opportunities that can help us live for a living and help others do the same. I invite you to check it out.
