We are a Baptist people who understand to be true in a supernatural Bible, which tells of a supernatural Christ, Who had a supernatural birth, He uttered supernatural words, He did supernatural miracles, He lived a supernatural life. He died a supernatural death, He rose in supernatural splendor, He intercedes as a supernatural priest, and Who will one day return in supernatural glory to establish a supernatural kingdom on the earth.

We believe that the Holy Bible was written by men supernaturally inspired; that it has truth with no admixture of error for its matter; and therefore is, and shall remain to the end of the age, the only complete and final revelation of the will of God to man; the true center of Christian union and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, arid opinions should be tried. By "The Holy Bible" we mean that collection of sixty-six books, from Genesis to Revelation, which does not only contain' and convey the Word of God, but IS the very Word of God. By "inspired" we mean that the books of the Bible were written by holy men of old, as they were moved by the Holy Spirit, in such a definite way that their writings were supernaturally and verbally inspired and free without error, as no other writings have ever been or ever will be inspired.

We understand to be true that there is one, and only one, living and true God, infinite, intelligent Spirit, the maker and supreme ruler of heaven and earth; inexpressibly glorious in holiness and worthy of any possible honor, confidence and love; that in the unity of the Godhead there are three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in every divine perfection, and executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption.

All of us understand to be true in the absolute Deity of the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ; that He was both human and divine; that He was very God, existing from all eternity, co-equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit; that He never ceased to be God for one instant and that His humiliation did not consist in laying aside His deity; that, as man, He was miraculously begotten of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary; that He lived a holy and righteous life without any taint of sin that He might be the perfect sacrifice for our sins.

All of us understand to be true that the Holy Spirit is a divine person; equal with God the Father and God the Son, and of the same nature; that He was active in the creation; that in His relation to the unbelieving world He convicts of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; that He bears witness to the truth of the Gospel in preaching and testimony; that He is the agent in the New Birth; that he seals, endues, guides, teaches, witnesses, sanctifies, and helps the believer.

All of us believe that Satan was once without sin and enjoyed heavenly honors; but through pride and ambition to be as the Almighty, fell and drew after him a host of angels; that he is now the malignant prince of the power of the air, and the unholy god of this world.

All of us hold him to be man's great tempter, the enemy of God and His Christ, the accuser of the saints, the author of all false religions, the chief power in back of the present apostasy; the lord of the antichrist, and the author of all the powers of darkness; he is destined to final defeat at the hands of God's own Son, and to the judgment of an eternal justice in hell, a place prepared for him and his angels.

All of us understand to be true that the salvation of sinners is wholly of grace; through the mediatorial offices of the Son of God, who by appointment of the Father, freely took upon Him our nature, yet without sin, honored the divine law by His personal obedience, and by His death made a full and vicarious atonement for our sins; that His atonement consisted not in setting us an example by His death as a martyr, but was the voluntary substitution of Himself in the sinner's place, the Just dying for the unjust, Christ, the Lord, bearing our sins in His own body on the tree; that, having risen from the dead, He is now enthroned in heaven. He is every way qualified to be a suitable, a compassionate and an all-sufficient Saviour.

All of us believe that we are called with a holy calling to walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit; and to live in the Spirit that we shall not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. Every saved person possesses two natures, with provision made for victory of the new nature through the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit, and that all claims to the eradication of the old nature in this life are unscriptural.

All of us believe in the unity of all born-again believers in the Church which is the Body of Christ, which was established at His death on the Cross (Eph. 2:16), and that all believers, from the Cross to the Rapture, both Jew and Gentile, are added to this Church by the baptism of the Holy Spirit at the exact time that they receive Jesus Christ as Saviour.

All of us understand to be true that this Church is manifested through the local church which is a congregation of immersed believers associated by covenant of faith and fellowship of the gospel; observing the ordinances of Christ; governed by His laws in accordance with the Pauline revelation, exercising the gifts, rights and privileges invested in them by His Word; and that its officers are bishop and deacons, whose qualifications, claims and duties are clearly defined in the Scriptures.

All of us believe the true mission of the Church is for the edification, perfection, exhortation and comfort of its members in spiritual matters; the faithful witnessing of Christ to all men as we have opportunity.

We hold that the local church has the absolute right of self-government free without the interference of any hierarchy of individuals or organizations; that the one and only head and shepherd of the local church is the God-called and Spirit-filled Bishop, just as Jesus Christ is the Head and Chief Shepherd over the entire Church; that it is scriptural for true churches to cooperate with each other in contending for the faith and for the furtherance of the Gospel; that each local church is the sole judge of the measure and method of its cooperation; and that in all matters of membership, of policy, of government, of discipline, of benevolence, the will of the local church is final.
