Make Money With Facebook - Part One of Two

If you've ever been sitting at your computer and wondered if you could Make Money with Facebook... You're already on your way..

I actually got onto this because I was interested in leveraging the sheer volume of traffic and potential for mass scale sales that exists online.

What we have today is unlike anything else that's ever existed.

I can sit down on my computer and specifically target 32 year old men in New York city who like Incubus and the Red Hot Chili Peppers and sell them merchandise on a pay-per-click campaign.

Isn't that ridiculous? It's never been easier to make money with facebook

While there are many opinions of which is the best way to make money with Facebook... I'm going to start you off with just two (the second in a different post) that I have seen work, first hand...

These are strategies I have learned from absolute masters!

Let me preface all of this by saying that this stuff isn't hard... Many might say that "if it was that easy, everyone would do it..."

Well you and I both know that a lot of people do things that aren't all that rational... I can't promise you you'll be successful at implementing these strategies because I don't know your character and determination.

I can say that if you're willing to take action, take risks and aren't afraid to fail a few times on your way to success... that you can make an absolute fortune using nothing but Facebook!

Now onto the show...

Make Money with Facebook – Part One – PPC ads to affiliate offers

This strategy will be monetized through "affiliate marketing".. which is basically just getting paid to drive customers to a website. (for more, please do a quick Google search and come back. )

If you're going to market affiliate products, you'll need to pick a target market.

...then we will find a product (trust me, there are tons of products out there)

Who should you target?

To make money with facebook I'd recommend targeting a market you know something about.

By doing so you'll be able to get into the heads of your target a bit better.... and essentially you can be a bit more precise in reaching them. (this is not to say that you can't target niches you don't know a lot about... you'll just need to learn and be able to tolerate the experience )

Here are some questions to ask yourself about your target market (it's okay to have a few products in mind)

Who is my target?

Where do they live?

What are their interests?

When do they buy?

How do they Buy?

What are their pains? (things they want a solution to)

So say I decided to target musicians who were looking to get their music heard by more people. Let's do this exercise for them:

Who is my target? Struggling, but talented musicians, age 18-30 (minimum 18 to buy online)

Where do they live? USA, Canada, UK, other English speaking countries

What are their interests? Playing music, making music, hanging out in hipster clubs... lol (maybe we could target people who have "Liked" certain clubs?)

When do they buy? whenever new albums come out or they need musical instruments/supplies at the store or online resources. (may use Musician's Friend)

How do they Buy? (see above) buy music online (itunes), in store (classic vinyl etc.). Since they buy music online they're likely open to the concept of buying products online (great for affiliate marketers)

What are their pains? They want to get gigs, get heard, sell merchandise and spend more time making music. (if we can help them do any of these things with a product they're likely to buy)



Step 2 – Make Money with Facebook – Segment on Facebook

Now you'll need to target your FB ad campaign on the specific demographic info outlined and then figure out how to reach them.

So I tell FB that I only want 18-35 year olds, in Canada, UK and USA... how else can I find my target?

Well, they maybe some of them have "Liked" musicians friend on Facebook? I could also take a more local approach and target people who have specifically listed local live music venues in their "Likes" and also "Like" playing the guitar or drums... or people who like specific bands and also are musicians....

The more I can put myself in the shoes of my customer, the better I can find out how to reach them... and the more likely it is that I'll make money with facebook!


Make Money with Facebook - Finding Your Product

I can go to Odigger.com and search for music products that will help musicians market themselves, get gigs, improve recordings, improve image... all that stuff... and this is just one avenue to find offers.

To find others, think of the last thing you bought online and see if they have an affiliate product. You'd be surprised at how many sites will pay you to drive traffic that buys!

Once I have my affiliate coded landing page for the product I decide to sell, I can simply put the ad campaign together on Facebook and get started driving traffic to that page.

Every time someone buys, I get paid.... what a wonderful world we live in!
