Mackinac Island is a preferred vacation spot, so overnight accommodation right on the Island is an ideal way to enjoy the Island during quieter hours, which begins when the last ferry leaves for the day. Colonial Michilimackinac Park is an extension of Fort Mackinac, it is a rejuvinated 1700's French fur exchanging town and military outpost. Come eager to learn all about Fort Mackinac's history and enjoy the enjoyable re-enactments from the British occupation during the American Revolutionary time.
