Whether you identify yourself as a plumber or a day-trader, it's important that you enjoy what you do.

Why, you ask? Let me explain...

In my quest to understand what it is that I'm meant to do in this world, I did a lot of research on success and achievement and what I found was that, generally, the most successful people enjoy what they do.
Think about it.

If you're going to be innovative and thoughtful there needs to be enthusiasm. The best way to have enthusiasm is to enjoy what you do.

Therefore, the best value and the absolute optimal level of success for you will come from doing and focusing on what you love, despite the challenges that making a change can present in the short term.

Now it's important to acknowledge that in most cases when a person doesn't like their work, not every part of it is necessarily bad. It's likely that the 80-20 rule applies with 20% being the portion that is troublesome.

Eliminate that 20% and you'll be able to enjoy what you do!

Enjoy What You Do – Positive Expectation

The number one thing that will allow you to go down the path you wish to travel will be your expectation.

We all have expectations, some of which we are not even aware of. Believe it or not, some people actually just subconsciously expect to not like their jobs and have been programmed to accept it as a reality that people have to come to terms with.

Often times this type of belief/conditioning forms when we grow up in families that have the same expectation... In other words, it's possible that if your parents didn't like their jobs, you may have inadvertently put yourself into a job you don't like either.

This is why it's important to affirm to yourself that you deserve to absolutely love what you do and that it is the best way to add value to the universe! An affirmation like "I do what I love and add massive value to the universe" would be very helpful!

Let's make a positive change.

Remember, we were put on this earth to enjoy life. You deserve to enjoy life and enjoy what you do!

No matter where you are at in your life, it's possible to make a change.

Enjoy What You Do – Challenge Expectation

I encourage you to think about what your expectations of your life are and decide that you're going to do what you love from now on. Then just start making small changes. Every day ask, "how could I make my job/relationship/situation better?"

Remember, whatever you focus on, grows. So let's stay focused on happiness!
