Author Name: LJR Photography
Photography can capture both the ordinary and extraordinary.
Through my lens, I shoot the world around us- the usual and unusual- to capture a moment in time.
The beauty of photography comes from the ability to capture a person, place or thing in such a way that gives people the opportunity to consider it from another perspective.
I have a great deal of nature photography, and many of my clients are always amazed to learn that I enjoy contemporary and black and white images additionally. Basically, there is no one set theme that I focus on- I shoot what I like. It just so happens that I enjoy the outdoors so a great deal of my work highlights the natural world.
Photography Questions
The Top 3 Photography Questions I Receive
As a photographer, I am constantly questioned how best to use a camera, what most of the buttons do and many other questions.
Currently, the top 3 questions and answers are:.
1. Q: How do I get a picture with a clear foreground and a blurry background.
A: This is done through the camera's aperture: "A" on some camera buttons or it might be represented as flower on the camera button as well. If you use the "A" button, you will choose to have a lower aperture number. An aperture of 3.5 or 5.6 will help you get that sharp foreground and blurry background.
2. Q: How can I freeze action?
A: You have 2 ways to complete this. The first is with the "runner" button on your camera. This button sets the shutter speed higher to capture action. The second way is to take pictures with the "Tv" mode for Cannon cameras and the "S" for Nikon cameras. Using a fast shutter speed of at least 1/400 (and adjusting your ISO to accommodate this) is the way to freeze action.
3. Q: How do I remove shadows on objects when I take pictures on a sunny day?
A: The most reliable way to do this is to use your flash. The flash, also known as a "fill flash" will help remove the shadows. Keep in mind that your included flash will work within 10 feet of your subject. Beyond that point, it won't be of much use.
