Stick with me for a moment. If you want to drive traffic to your blog, then you need to make damn sure that it�s worth visiting. I realize this seems overly simplified but this is one of the first lessons I had to learn when working to SEO my blog.

How can I write good content? Here are a few tips:

A) Provide an answer to a common question.

The next time you have a question about something related to your blog, go out and research the answer and then write a post on it. All of the sudden you just become the expert!

B) Blog on Purpose

Use Google Key Word Tool (www.googlekeywordtool.com) to identify what people are searching for within your niche. E.g. If I�m going to SEO my blog about pet grooming, rather than just going out and posting on whatever I feel like posting on that day, I should find out what specifically people are searching for and then run my own search on that term.

If there are no strong result matches with my search then I just found an opportunity to become the expert to some highly targeted traffic. Even if I SEO my blog for a phrase that there are only 1500 searches a month for, they will be highly targeted and likely to buy whatever it is that I�m selling (assuming I lead with providing value)

C) SEO my Blog without the sales pitch

Make people like you with your content before inserting a call to action. Always have a transition or �Call to Action� in every post to offer your product� just be delicate about how you do it. If people like you, they will naturally be interested in what you have to offer. I often use a �P.S. line� at the end to make my offer.

If you don�t have a product, get one. Your content is valuable and you�ll be much more likely to share it if you can get paid at the same time.

Step Two: SEO My Blog Through Key Word Focus

Once you have your post you�ll need to make sure it�s structured properly to take advantage of it�s highly targeted nature.

1. Make sure your Key word is in the title!
2. Underline, Bold and Italicize ever single instance of your key word within the article
3. Ensure your key word phrase represents at least 1% of the content. In other words, it should appear frequently in your content
4. Include three different headers that include your key work phrase. Should have one H1, H2 and H3. If you�re not familiar with HTML it basically just looks like this: �� to open, �� to close. 1, 2 or 3 will just determine the size.

You can go to www.fiverr.com and pay someone $5 to share your post on facebook, twitter, google+, stumbledupon etc. This is a good idea if you�re serious about making your post rank.

SEO My Blog Through Back links
A �back link� is a link back to your blog post from a website on a different domain and for years has been a major basis for how Google displays results.

If you log onto www.fiverr.com you�ll also find people offering thousands of back links for $5. I would NOT recommend this because Google got wise to this a couple of years back.

If a ridiculous amount of back links show up out of the blue they are likely to de-list your page and remove it from the results altogether.

Focus on QUALITY, rather than Quantity. A great way to generate back links is to do guest blogging.

That�s right!

Search Facebook for friends of yours that have blogs and offer to do a guest post. Many people will be open to this as long as your content is valuable.

Don�t feel like bugging your friends? Search facebook for people you are not friends with and present the same idea. Facebook has very advanced search features that allow you to search the word �wordpress� or other blogging platforms.

It�s a win-win situation, just be sure to personalize your message to them so it doesn�t get reported as SPAM.

Step for: SEO My Blog by Taking Action and Being Patient
