The program consists of 18 key healing movements starting from individual movements, to a series of combinations. The whole program is divided into four phases where you will learn 6 Tai Chi movements in each of the first three phases which takes three weeks long each. The fourth phase, which takes four weeks, will engage you in multiple movements together in sequence.

Tai Cheng's gentle, thoughtful movements can open your joints, stimulate circulation, increase lung capacity and strengthen your muscles, helping to prolong your fitness. These therapeutic postures cause your blood to circulate more regularly through areas where it may have been sluggish, helping to remove toxins and boost your immune system. Tai Cheng promotes suppleness, strength, ease of motion and inner peace.

The beginning of each day is a neural reboot, which is warm-up and stretch. Dr. Cheng has incorporates foam rollers for myofascial release. The first three weeks you roll your calves, weeks 4-6 your calves and quads, weeks 7-9 rotator cuff is added and in weeks 10-13 upper and mid-back are added.

I use this type of myofascial release with a foam roller in the P90X2 fitness program, and I can say that this works. The roller really does help release all those knots in your muscles and afterwards your body feels "all a glow".

In the first weeks of the program, you will learn static movements that help awaken your body's natural energy and loosen your joints, while using natural resistance to help tone your muscles. The first movements of Tai Cheng will help activate your strength and begin restoring your balance.
