Remember those home meetings we all went to?

I remember after sitting through the presentation how excited I was at the thought of getting rich with this company.

It was my first time ever hearing about the mlm/network marketing business model.

You remember how simple they made it seem?

"If you get only two people on board and those two people get two of there own and so-on, you'll get rich in this business."

You know the drill. I can still remember the excitement swelling in my chest as I listened on and imagined how much money I'd make when I started telling people about what I just heard.

After all, what kind of person who heard about this wouldn't want to get a piece of the action right?

Oh and how about the methods they teach? I won't go into it because the co-founder founder of the fastest growing online business Empower Network made a retardedly funny video about all them old school methods that most people don't succeed with.

That was David Wood co-founder of Empower Network in case you didn't know. Now I haven't been totally fair to some of the old school methods because people have certainly had success with them.

The real problem is that it isn't a good business model. Most people can not copy those methods and expect to be successful. If there is no equation that produces like results, then why even bother? In a way, it's kinda like a franchise. Mcdonalds is the same anywhere you go. From their recipe's to the system in place that is guaranteed to produce like results.

Someone wanting to own a Mcdonalds franchise doesn't have to develope a product, they don't have to come up with a business plan or system, and they don't have to figure out where the demand is for the product. It's all bundled up and nicely packaged courtesy of Mcdonalds Corp.

The network marketing industry isn't any different. You need a proven model or system in order to succeed and without one, your just swinging in the dark. The old school methods are o.k but to properly leverage time, you need to be doing something different. Something that's been proven time and again so that you can work smarter not harder.
