Ever felt like that? Primarily when you needed new ideas the most.

Then you're at the right place.


I have struggled with creativity a lot and I've found some tricks and means how to get blogging ideas and stay focused.


How To

Write a blog post on how to do something. How to resolve a problem that people have. Teach people something you know and can do. When ever you learn something new and valuable to yourself, pay it forward, write about it. For example the post I did HERE where I wrote how to write down your goals.

Me, Myself and I

Every once in a while you want to throw in something about yourself. What have you done, what have you learned recently and how are things going for you. There are many aspects of your life that you can write about.

Your Lifestyle.

Your hobbies.

Your business.

Your struggles.

Your success.

Your goals and how you achive them.

And so on.


I like to share things and thoughts that have helped me. Like the books I've read. I wrote about books that saved my life HERE.



Viral News

You can just keep your eye on the topic. When some big news hits the world or your home country then blog about it. Don't just copy a news story but add your own perspective to it.

One of good places is http://www.youtube.com/charts wher you can see whats hot at the moment. Take one hot topic video, put in your blog and write a little about it.

Another place is http://percolate.com/ where you'll get daily emails on topics you like and have interest in. Get fresh ideas every morning.

I just did a viral news post the other day. The post was about Google Glass Project.



Music and Movies

Always lots of people searching for the topic. Share your personal experiences, favourite artists, songs, films. Write a blog post on your favourite actor/actress. If you sing yourself or play an instrument, make a video about your performance, post it on YouTube and share it through your blog.



Reviews

Write a review about some products you have used for yourself. Share how they have worked out for you. Maybe you have bought something that turns out to be absolute crap and not at all what was advertised, warn other people about it.

This is a little like How To's but not so spesific. You can teach and share some simple tricks you've come up personally or you can just share others. Cool new gadgets released, mobile apps that make users lives easier or simple household know-how you got from your granny.



Sports, Fitness and other training.

Write about your physical activity. Do you play sports? So do millions of people. Share your exercise methods, trainings. Share your diets. Tell your readers hoe you stay active and train yourself.

Write about your favourite football team. Basketball or baseball team. Maybe you have set some records?

The best way how to get blogging ideas and stay focused!


Usually the best ideas pop into your head when you are not writing or thinking about what to write. When you are doing something altogether different. Walking, running, fixing your bicycle or just chilling on the beach. And you don't have your laptop with you all the time or even a notebook to write down ideas.

What I do, is I record my thoughts. I use iPhone's voice recorder. Every smartphone has one and if not then you can download the app from iStore or GooglePlay. That kind of apps are usually free too.

It is simple and effective. When ever you get an idea - record it.

Speak your mind and edit later.
