How To Write Down Your Goals

Hi, on my previous posts I wrote how to achive your goals and what are the most important steps you have to take. One of the steps is "writing down your goals". And YES, there is a difference. It is extremely important, that you do it the right way.

Because this is just the way how life works. If you start looking around for this topic, you'll find, that most if not all of the succesful people in the world, will tell you more or less, the same exact way how to write down your goals. The reason for that is - it works.

I didn't do it this way. At first. I read about it, but thought that it doesn't matter. What's the difference? After a while, when I didn't accomplish my goals, it made me wonder - may it actually have some truth in it? If so many people are talking and teaching to do it the right way. Maybe, just maybe, it's worth a try?


So How To Write Down Your Goals

First person. Present tense. Visually auditory, kinesthetically descriptive, with time based evidence that you've accomplished that goal and a reward for your accomplishment.

Ok, yeah, so what exactly?

You have to write down your goal as if you've already accomplished it. You pick a time period, that seems even a little realistic, because you have to believe it's doable somehow. Write it down the way it's easy for you to see it, visualise it. The way you can see the clear picture of "that moment when the goal is accomplished" and yourself in it. Describe details, your feelings your thoughts how that achievement makes you feel. What will you do, when you've reached it? How do you reward yourself?


Here's an example of my goal. I picked 3 month period. Right now it is hard for me to believe that I'll accomplish that. But I know that it can be done, because other people have done it and I myself have already accomplished so much things I didn't believe possible at first. I set my goal and do everything I can to achieve it. I don't know how and what I'm doing exactly, but I'm taking action and learning on the way.


My goal.

I, Marko Krist am sitting in front of my computer in my home office. I'm looking at my affiliate earnings in Empower Network E-Wallet. It's 25th of april 2013. I'm looking at the Recent Transactions of april and the amount is $15,000. That is april income only. I take my eyes of the computer and look out of my two windows. I see the big pine trees fluctuate in the smooth spring breeze, the sun is shining and I can hear the birds singing. I feel the adrenalin rush rising up the spine. I smile. I start laughing loudly and yell I MADE IT, I DID IT, FUCK YEE

I'm thinking back of the time three month ago, when I wrote it and was a little doubtful. But I believed. I had so many proofs already, that dreams are coming true, when you really want them to. Now, as I'm looking back I realise, that it was actually very easy to make $15,000 in one month. The money just came to me. The warm feeling, that I've done it, makes me laugh again. I have tears in my eyes, because I know now, that I can make much more within the next three month.

As a reward, I'm taking my girlfriend to one special place. This place has been my screensaver for a year already. I know where it is. It's far. When I think about the trip, I just feel love :)

Your goal doesn't have to be about money, it can be anything e.g. meeting your solemate. Same principles apply. Set time, describe the person, describe how meeting her/him makes you feel. What are her/his best qualities, why it's important to you. How will your life look like. What are you doing together and so on.
