Are You in Network Marketing?
Don't focus on your compensation plan, learning to give a presentation, creating banners, looking for places to hold your meetings or any of this stuff. Work on getting your first sale, period. In network marketing you will get your first sale by relying on tools that already exist in your MLM company (just ask your upline what tools you should be using). You should only be focusing on knowing where to point people to (sample, DVD's, online videos, etc) and what follow up script to use with them. Don't be the presenter when you are brand new, you want them to be able to use the same tool that you learned.
Do You Sell Your Own Products?
So you might be reading this and you are NOT in network marketing but marketing your own product or products either online or offline. Don't waist time on designing a logo, creating business cards, formulating a ten year plan, printing or buying flyers or even buying new equipment to handle all the orders UNTIL you make your first sale. When you are starting a business, the first three steps are:
1. Design a product that has the ability to be sold (it doesn't have to be perfect)
2. Sell it
3. Make it better based on user feedback
