What a great day! Today is a the day that we finally get access to iOS 6.1 Jailbreak Untethered. First, we have to give thanks to the iOS hackers that banned together to form "Team Evad3ers". They were able to put their brains together to accomplish this difficult task.

There were jailbreaks in the past, but they were all Tethered, meaning; every time you restarted your iPhone, it had to be plugged into your computer.

iOS 6.1 Jailbreak Untethered software named Evansi0n got released to all three major platforms, which include Mac OSX, windows, and Linux. EvansiOn is compatible with all iOS 6, but the company recommends that you up date your device to the latest apple firmware which is iOS 6.1. This new software supports every iOS device except the Apple TV 2 and 3.

Here are the compatible devices.

(iPhone 5, iPhone 4s, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad mini, iPod touch 4, iPod touch 5)

Before we get started, here are the requirements for iOS 6.1 Jailbreak Untethered

-A computer running Windows XP and above, Mac OS X 10.5 or above, Linux

-USB Cable

- iOS 6.0 – 6.1

Things to remember

- Always backup your device. (I made a horrible mistake of not backing up my device last year when I jail broke my device, had a error and lost a bunch of valuable pictures) Just do it! Back it up Now!

- Avoid iTunes task, such as syncing and updating your phone.

- Make sure you disable the lock screen password

Okay, Lets get started with your Jailbreak

Step 1:
Download your copy of Evasion right here —> (windows, mac, linux)
Windows users: Right click and extract files, open program
Mac Users: Double click to open program

Step 3:
Connect Device via USB Cable. Once plugged in Evasi0n should recognize your device

Step 4:
Jailbreak button will appear. Click it to begin process

Step 5:
Let the software do its thing. Your device will reboot several times.

Step 6:
Once done, the device will end on the lock screen. Unlock and your done!

Go to the Cydia store icon to download needed jailbreak software.
There you have it. You are done!

*If your device fails during this process, reboot it by holding the top bottom and home button together for 10 seconds.
