Marijuana is actually called Cannabis. It is an illegal substance in many countries because it has the tendency to be abused by people. It is not the Cannabis itself that is addictive but the end product after a preparation that produces marijuana.

However, the above-mentioned side effects of marijuana should not discount the good effects of it. It is also proven that this is an effective aid for muscle spasms that is common for those with multiple sclerosis.

Even the United States have conceded to the good effects that were discovered in marijuana benefits studies. Through these studies, it was shown that the substance found in marijuana can treat nausea and problems in the appetite of HIV and cancer patients.

After all that is mentioned here, it is up to the government to decide whether marijuana is good for people enough for its ban to lifted or for it not to be classified us illegal.
