So many of us are stressed out these days due to our economy, our jobs or perhaps lack of one, and even family at times takes a toll on us. At times though, we lose our focus and have the tendency to get overwhelmed and burdened about the insignificant challenges that happen in our lives. It could be a barrage of things that could set our tempers flaring, and to make matters worse, we put a lot of effort into letting them affect our day and our mental and physical health. The fact of the matter is, stress happens, but it is how we deal with our stress that determines the outcome. Believe it or not, a lot of us bring on our own stress by our reactions when the stress is triggered.
We yell and scream, we cry, and we also lash out at others. This is definitely counter productive. So, what I put together for you are a few simple tips that I use when I feel stressed: and none of them come in the form of a "pill." They have helped me tremendously and I know they can help you as well. Give em' a try.
Tip # 1 Exercise
Let me tell you something, for me, this is the number one stress reliever around. If you can get out and walk or bike ride, you will be able to clear your head and all those bad thoughts running around in your brain. You set off these endorphins inside of your body that help control your emotions and it feels amazing!
Tip # 2. Laugh
Always the best medicine-especially if you can laugh at yourself.
Tip # 3 Sex
Self explanatory (and I am totally serious)
Tip # 4 Clear out the Clutter
When my home and office or my work space around me is clear, I feel I can take on the world. A cluttered home is a cluttered life-get busy!
Tip # 5 Breathe
Stress is felt in our shoulders and all over our bodies. Take a few minutes throughout the day to take slow deep breaths - in through your nose and out through your mouth. It works wonders---- AHHHHHHH !! DECOMPRESS AND LET GO OF THE STRESS.
