When I first began my journey in Affiliate Marketing I started with a company called "MCA", or Motor Club of America. MCA can best be compared to AAA. They provide Roadside Assistance, certain Travel Discounts, Medical and Dental Discounts with participating providers, and a VERY popular Income Opportunity. Let's look at the Income Opportunity further, after all- that's why you're here right?
To make money with MCA you have a couple of options. You can buy the service yourself. They have several packages but to make money off of your down-line you need to purchase the package that cost $19.95 or higher. You CAN sell MCA memberships without buying one yourself but you will ONLY MAKE MONEY on your PERSONAL REFERRALS. NOT their referrals. There is also information in the contract you sign that led me to believe that after 6 months you HAVE TO HAVE a membership yourself to stay active. I would suggest really reading the contract and deciding for yourself if you agree that this is what the wording means.
MCA offers a 200% Commission to their Affiliates, which equal $80 payouts on all new sign-ups. This is due to the fact that the company requires you to make a FIRST and LAST MONTH PAYMENT at the time of your first payment. Therefore, you are paying $40.00 upfront to join the company. Yes, you get the benefits and yes, it pays for itself after 1 sign-up. Just remember, it's a monthly payment of $19.95. Now $19.95 a month to essentially own your own business is not bad. There are a few things to think about though when making this commitment....
I found that the Internet is SATURATED with MCA AFFILIATES. They are literally EVERYWHERE. Now this can tell you two things. 1. People are buying the product and buying into the Income Opportunity, and 2. You will have TONS OF COMPETITION.
Now let's return to the $19.95 a month. Again, that is not a bad deal to own your own business but the one NECESSITY you must have to make MCA work for you is TRAFFIC! Advertising and Traffic. Both of which can and in most cases will cost money. I found that MCA has spent VERY LITTLE on advertising for their affiliates. Their sites are extremely dated, their Banners and Videos lack ANY flare and are VERY BASIC. You will really need to do some work to make your advertising stand out. The tools and resources for affiliates just ARE NOT THERE.
All of this being said, MCA, Motor Club Of America, is a "Real Company." They offer a "Real" Income Opportunity. I am associated with DOZENS of their affiliates online through forums I participate in and I can tell you that some claim to be making the "Big Bucks." Are these claims true or are they merely trying to persuade us to join their down-line? Only they really know. My advice would be to do your research, as you are doing here, and consider the money and competition that will definitely be involved in this business.
