Nowadays, 3D Products are coming out left, right and centre in the market. 3D or also termed Three Dimensional improves the depth perception greatly. People will feel like they are so near with whatever they are seeing on a screen. If the scene is a man falling from a cliff, it will give the person the feeling of falling as well. 3D is the technique of making a third dimension. It was invented first on early 19th century through the stereoscopic photography. This is all thanks to William Friese - Greene, a British film pioneer, who also filed a patent for the process of 3D movie. What the stereoscopic photography does is let a person viewing it see two separate films at a right angle with each other. After the stereoscope came the Polaroid era which introduced a new era to 3D Technology by introducing Polaroid filters in projecting presentations made from stereoscopic due to Edwin H. Land. The mid - 1950s was dubbed as 3D Technology's golden period but soon lost its momentum.
Today the 3D technology has once again making noise most especially with the release of James Cameron's film "Avatar." Since then many films now are being released and re - released in 3D as well as in 2D. Watching a 3D film requires a person to wear an 3d glasses in order to experience its wonderful experience of the illusion of depth.

Globally and commercially, 3D technology is quite scattered and broad. Meanwhile, for the gaming industry, Nintendo released its Nintendo 3DS. What it does is syncs the lenticular display with the forward - facing camera. Through the eye recognition, 3DS can track the player's face and shift the display in order to give a precise 3D appearance no matter how the player sees it.
North America has the largest market of 3D Technology followed by Europe and Asia Pacific. That is why many of the supply come from North America. Meanwhile, the Asia Pacific has the fastest growing rate in interest in terms of 3D Technology with a rate of 21.96 percent. Expectantly, the global market for 3D Products will grow to about 227.27 billion US dollars by the year 2016. In addition, animation and gaming will be the leading market of the 3D industry. These inventions are just the start of what 3D technology product can offer through these 3D products. Now it is only a question if this revival of interest can last for a long time.
