Improper Promotion of Improper Photography

Alleged improper photography victim, Fallon Davenport, enthusiastically promoted the unfortunate pictures of Princess Kate Middleton on her news broadcast, NewsFix Houston over the weekend. Davenport's ex boyfriend, Michael Brent Sewell, made headlines last May after she filed charges on him for allegedly posting a compilation sex tape of the two on YouTube. He was recently indicted in Texas on felony charges of Improper photography, which is simply photography recorded, broadcasted, or promoted without consent and with the intent to sexually gratify another.

Davenport was on the verge of breaking the law herself as she promoted Princess Kate's photographs! She tweeted a link to her news story, which included some of the Princess' embarrassing pictures, "Who wants to see a topless princess?" In her NewsFix story she writes, "...this is the moment we've all been waiting for!"

Davenport was named publicly as the complaintant against Sewell in the indictment filed last week. Much of the controversy around Sewell's case is that Davenport admits that all the photography she partook in was consensual. She claims the images were transmitted on YouTube, and that she had told her ex they were for 'personal use.' Much unlike the pictures of Kate Middleton, which were recorded, transmitted, and promoted without her hieness' consent!

Sewell claimed in an interview to have emails in which Davenport allegedly talks about hiring a professional cameraman to film them making pornography for the purpose of monetary gain. If the films were truly made with intention of selling them, then consent to distribute was given prior to production.

Being the professional journalist that Davenport is, is it ethical for her to play the part of the improper photography victim, while at the same time promoting improper photographs of the royal British family on NewsFix? Seems a little titty twisted if you ask me... Like, Nicole Brown Simpson promoting Scott Peterson. Normally, crime victims will empathize with those who suffer similarly, not join the tar and feathering.

Poor Kate Middleton..... :(
