My RevAbs Review
My husband and I have been working out together to Beachbody�s great at home workout programs for the past 3 years. P90X, P90X2 and Insanity are our go to workouts. But it was time for a change and we thought we�d give Rev Abs a chance � we could always use more ab work and it�s summer so we thought it would be a good change. We also thought it and probably not that difficult of a workout. Oh man, were we wrong.
The focus of RevAbs is abs. But trust me, its not all crunches. It truly is a full body workout. RevAbs takes interval cardio, strength and abdominal training, and combines them so that you can burn body fat while toning every part of your mid-section. Strength training, combined with hard cardio is the best way to reveal your abs, not crunches. You need to burn the fat and build the muscle. The first two weeks we were more sore in our legs, butts and upper arms than our abs. We were also surprised at how the intervals really got our heart rate up.
Brett Hoebel breaks down the workouts into intervals. Most of the intervals have both weight moves and cardio moves. And all the moves incorporate your abs, so you are working them all the time. The last round of each interval he calls the Spice Round! This takes each move up a notch for this round.
Brett Hoebel includes lots of moves based on the martial art of Capoeira. Capoeira is a Brazilian dance style martial art that is fun.
There are 9 workouts included in the 90-day program. And he breaks the workouts down into 3 phases. Each phase is 30 days. The workouts build and get more challenging with each phase. The program also comes with an excellent nutrition guide. He recommend a lower calorie diet for the first 14 days to speed up the fat and weight loss. Then after the first 14 days, the calories increase a bit and there are a whole new set of recipes and food ideas. Throughout the 90 days you eat 3 meals and 2 snacks a day.

My overall impression of RevAbs is that it is a great at home workout program! Both my husband and I were shoecked at how challenge it was and how Brett really has you working. Not only were our abs sore, but our legs, butts, and shoulders were sore from all the lunges, squats and shoulder presses you do throughout the exercises. We also like the fact that the workouts are a bit shorter than P90X. They range from 30 � 45 minutes. I would strongly recommend this program.
